Greetings! And Yes, It's All About Me |
Maya was residing at the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Terryville, Connecticut. She introduced herself by snagging a pant leg and then proceeded to deftly "juggle" her collection of mouses! Maya came home with us on Sunday, March 12, 2000.

"Hi, I'm Maya - Fly ME!" *snicker* No, really. My name is Maya and I can fly. Terra Firma No Mora! No longer am I restricted by unseen forces, No more must I obey the laws of gravity!! Well, ok... no more so than anybody else. Besides, I don't want to have any run-ins with the Gravity Police, do I?
Soaring onto window sills and desktops... Leaping over tall woodpiles in a single bound! Flying over sleeping dogs and woodpiles to land on the window sills - I am finally FREE!
It may have something to do with my diet. I no longer sneak english-muffin pizzas for myself in the middle of the night. (never got the hang of the toaster oven although I've had much success using the electric blanket) Munchies like that were begining to have a devastating effect on my girlish figure. I have lost 2 pounds.
Since you saw me last not only have I gotten my pilots' license I have developed and successfully tested new attention-getting actions. For those times when talking at humans just simply won't work. Telepathy for them goes right over their heads. Like at 4 in the morning when I want an early breakfast. Meowing in their sleeping faces (humans look so evil when they sleep, don't they?) doesn't do the trick. Sooo, I've taken to throwing the TV remote control at dad's head! Doesn't get me fed any sooner but, like I said, it does get his attention. And as angry as he gets I don't worry, I'll be safe.
I can fly, remember?~Love Maya C@~
